Pickles (XOEPI, one
of the Sanna x Rave kids from their 1st litter. Now 15
months old) took Group 1 at the match this morning ---
and then she went on to take Best Adult in Show !!!

08.09.2005 - Today was the Pharaoh Hound
Club of America Eastern Specialty in North Branch, New
Jersey. 37 Pharaohs Entered. -
Killian (AKC Ch XO Emerald Isle /XOEGN)
JC) won the Award of Merit
today at the PHCA Eastern Specialty show !!!
At specialties only, in addition to the Best of Breed
and Best of Opposite awards, the judge also gives Award
of Merits to up to 6 additional dogs that they find are
the best quality.
I am very proud and thrilled that Killian has won one!

XO Eyes on the Prize
This is Zion's (XO Eyes on the Prize)
first show picture. Zion is owned by Londyn and Kirt
Rollins in Maryland and shown here by Michell DeLuca.
Zion has matured so much since I saw him last in
December 2003. He looks wonderful! Thanks Londyn and
Kirt for taking such great care of this boy and Michell
for presenting him so well.

Show - Myndeklubben (This is
a sighthound club, and this show was for all sighthound
breeds only.)
Place - Vingsted, Denmark
Dates - 25 and 26 June, 2005
These were CAC shows only, no CACIBs on offer. All
sighthound breeds showed each day, so there was a
opportunity for 2 CACs in one weekend.
Judges - Espen Engh (Norway) and Magnus Hagstedt (Sweden)
These were 2 judges I have admired and respected, but
had never gotten an opportunity to show to them before.
Whenever they visited the US, they usually were judging
specialties of their own breeds (Whippets and Greyhounds).
So I was looking forward to their opinions of my dogs.
Saturday morning Pharaoh Hounds were the first breed in
the ring under Magnus Hagstedt. Unfortunately, there was
light rain! But after watching a few more breeds being
judged, I was pleased with the results.
Kal-el was in the
Champion class, since he is already a Danish Champion.
He was awarded the CK Certifikat (highest quality),
and was Best of Breed.
Rave was in Open
Class. He was awarded the CK Certifikat. He
earned the Danish CAC, since he was the highest
rated non-Champion male.
Sunday brought better weather and a happier Sanna. I did
not show Rave.
Under Espen Engh, Kal-el
again earned the CK Certifikat and Best of
Breed.
Sanna earned the
CK Certifikat and her first Danish CAC.
Espen Engh complemented them both very much as very nice
examples of the breed. |
