Show News ! 12.12.2006
I attended the International All Breed Dog Show here in
the states in Nov. I took Sanna and Nuon. These shows
are similar to the shows over seas. We did three shows.
The judges do a Richterbericht (report) on the dogs and
both Nuon and Sanna got the highest ratings of V1. Nuon
went on to take Best of Breed. After a very busy weekend,
Sanna
and Nuon became
International UCICB Champions. The judges had
wonderful things to say about both dogs and they all
said it was very hard to decide for BOB. I had a great
time showing both dogs and there were so many wonderful
people there to explain things and lend a hand if you
needed help.

CGC news
..............................
After a HUGE Snow storm from last Friday. Dec 1.
Electra (UKC Ch XO's
Electra Comes to Light CGC, JC) and I barreled out
through the snow and icy roads, we arrived at the
testing site, - an hour away, that took us 2. To test
for and she passed her Canine Good Citizens.
I don't know how, but she did it. For starters she didn't
get to play outside that much that day as it was
cooooold. So when we arrived at the club, Lexie
registers, "all right!!!! Let the party begin". and the
people weren't invited.
When it was our turn, the first exercise is a stranger
greeting the person. We all know that's an invitation to
a PH so when he said, "can I pet your dog? I was working
on that stay because any moment she was a bout to jump
up and give him a big kiss. I told him as your own risk,
with a big smile. He thought I was kidding. Sure enough,
licky licky licky, then she hooks her canine tooth in
the guys nose and inserts tongue. I know this is
disgusting, but a proper Lexie greeting is a little
nibble of a buggie from you nose. Thankfully the guy
though she was cute. Next exercise is the examine the
puppy, I know a sit for exam was not going to work, that
would mean a another buggie taste, I didn't think she'd
get away with it twice. So I made her stand / stay. She
was fine until he touched a foot. Then she got in to an
attitude. "Don't , don't touch me, don't" as he then
commented ohhh she can dance. I smiled and then he touch
one foot then the other and she just kept hopping. Then
I bent over and I whispered in her ear, my lowest tone,
"No Cookies tonight" she looked at me, stopped dead in
her tracks and let him finish the exam. I can't say the
rest of the test went smooth, but she completed
everything. The three minute out of sight, I felt sorry
for that judge who had to sit with her that whole time.
Let's just say, I don't think they're going to run out
and get a PH. She didn't do anything to disqualify
herself but she definitely entertained the crowed.

The puppies coursing
Jan Scotland took some
pictures of Dolly and Connor running their 1st 'half
course'.
They each had run twice before.. but only a little
triangle of about a 100 meters. The girls ran well
before, but Connor wandered out and took a pee.
This time they ran about 450 meters with several turns..
on grass and sand. And this time the little boy really
went.. and not pee pee.
On our way to the starting line...
Connor in red, Dolly in white. She's already figured out
what is going on.

Head shot.. Dolly and Connor

7 month old Dolly and Connor ... the
lights are on...

Is this boy happy or what?? MY FIRST
KILL! ALL MINE!!! So proud of himself...

2 nice pics of Kal-el on his last
run... It was out with the old, in with the new day...
boo hoo.. don't get me started again.

And just a beautiful place for a
course... The sand really slows them down though. This
is Rave, Habiba and Pippin (Ibizan)

I'm just happy did not do this again...
This was last year at the same place... oops... that's
my boy! Wrongway peachfuzz.. Put water on a course and
he will usually find it...

Like the day he found the canal...
