It was good to meet Sanna, what a beautiful and sweet
girl. Congratulations on the win she was a pleasure to
watch. She’s not the fastest, however she stayed
consistent, chasing the bunny in her bounce little way.
Cute, elegant and very girly.
Lex, on Saturday came charging on
Tally Ho…………………
She stayed on that bunny all the way.
In some cases the bunny was a bit to slow as Electra was
able to keep up and was passing the lure.
I’ll tell you, there is a knot in your
stomach the size of a grapefruit when you know your dog
is free in a field with absolutely no recall. I was
proud of my little girl. Before the races we sat on the
side lines so she could see the lure. She’s a natural
she seen it and was jumping and barking for the kill.
Surprisingly at the end of her run she did not attack
but just wanted it to gooooooooooo.
Leg one towards the JC. She also did a
run for the ASFA (being that she got her first leg) she
was able to run with another dog. She now has her
qualifier for ASFA. At first, Lex was not willing to
share the chase. She was giving the other dog the hairy
eye. Tally HO, and their off. She zoned in on that bunny
and charged it, the other more experienced dog, fell
behind. Lex came around the field like a bat on wheels.
Beautiful clean run. The man told me …. If that was a
real trial, she would have won game.
It is official ...

Today I did go to a little club match. Only

Vista (XO's Icon) and

Immortal Anharbn) were entered. Just for practice and
socialization.
They stand well. Dolly was BOB this time !

Mississippi 3.-4.06.2006 / 2
UKC shows
Madeline & I (David) just got back from Mississippi,
where we showed Bogie
(XO Egy) in 2 UKC shows. I handled him on Sat. He got
best of males, best of winners, best of
breed, so by UKC rules he won 25 points. He
did not win Group. On Sunday Madeline handled him. She
has competed a lot with horses, but this was her first
time in the show-ring with a dog. She also won
B.O.B., so another 25 points. She then
went on to win Group 1.

Hello, Lori. When we showed
Cairo the first time
in the spring of 2004, we (Mark, Irina & Cairo) had no
conformation show experience, but after the very first
time we were hooked. Of course, it is a lot easier and a
lot more fun when your dog is winning.
We took classes at our doggie club and watched other
handlers at the shows. There is still a lot to ...

Final Note Cadie XO) gave birth to 6 chocolate cuties
!!! the pups were officially born starting on 6/11 at
12:40am and continued through until 4:48am. There were
six in all 4 girls and 2 boys. This is a female
dominated household !!

Two wonderful pictures of Mellon lure
coursing.
I broke my own rule and lure coursed a dog 'naked'.. No
coat.. No muzzle.
It was a working day, so not an official coursing. And
they also were doing 'exterior judging'.. Basically
breed conformation.
And Mellon's turn to run was announced while we were
just finishing up the breed judging part... So I
actually had to run to the starting line with him still
on his breed leash!!!
Luckily he was very easy to catch... He just keeps
killing that bunny at the end.
