Hello Lori,

Finn had a GREAT weekend in El Monte! We were not able to be there the
first day but arrived early on Sunday and got checked in. Things got off to
a slow start but went smoothly once they got started. Robert was there with
Logan, just after winning his Dual Champion from Holister and was very
helpful. He and Finn were the only PHs and ran together even though Logan
was in the Special stakes.

Finn was totally lit up all day and ran beautifully and after the first
round, had 72 points, more than any other dog. Logan finished the first run
with a 65 but in all fairness, he had run at 3 or 4 races the day before and
must have been tired.

It tightened up a little after the second run although Finn still had the
lead in points going into the breed runoffs by quite a margin. Finn had a
71 and Logan had 68 I think for the second run. Because they were in
different stakes, they ran the BOB together and Finn won that too! Robert
was happy because he got another leg towards MC and Finn of course got his
third leg towards SC, won a point against another PH, and also won another
BOB ribbon. A great day for him. He should be able to earn his SC title in
two weeks in Bakersfield.

We ran him in BIF again even though it was only a very few minutes after his
BOB runoff against Logan. He ran against an Ibizan and a Borzoi and then a
Ridgeback and whippet ran. Finn ran great but the Borzoi BIF won fairly.
He did a great job. I'm confident that if Finn had a little more rest, he'd
have won it all again. He did such a great job.

Retrieving has been easier. We had only one run out of four where he was a
stinker, living up to his nickname, but it wasn't too terribly bad. We have
some more work to do on it.
